Grants Mission: Huntington Valley Arts, Inc. exists to encourage and promote the development of artists, art projects, and art education. It is particularly interested in supporting projects and programs that are socially and culturally enriching to individuals, groups, and our arts community. HVA works to connect our arts community with our local community as a whole, and emphasizes the importance of the public sharing of art processes and finished works. At this time, Huntington Valley Arts is in a position to offer aid to individuals or organizations seeking financial support for art projects and/or arts education. A wide range of artistic/creative endeavors will be considered for aid including, but not limited to: sculpture, painting, photography, ceramic art, woodworking, glass art, fiber art, film, theatre, literature, poetry, music, dance, and/or ANY ENDEAVOR THAT DEMONSTRATES A CELEBRATION OF THE CREATIVE SPIRIT. Priority is given to those programs that offer a public awareness of the value of artistic expression and education. Priority is also given to requests from individuals or groups seeking aid for the participation in and/or development of educational programs that explore various artistic media or subjects.
All grant requests will be reviewed by the Huntington Valley Arts Grants Committee. Applicants may be contacted for clarification of requests.
The deadline for grant applications is June 1, with recipient notification by July 15.
Grant amounts will be between $100 and $500.
Grants must be used exclusively to fund the project/program described, and excess funds must be returned to Huntington Valley Arts.
Recipients of grants must endeavor to complete their project/program.
Huntington Valley Arts reserves the right to publish images of the project/program for the sole purpose of perpetuating the HVA grants program and mission.
Grant Application: Please send a written description of your project/program. Explain its purpose and how it is related to Huntington Valley Arts' mission. Include a budget describing the cost and scope of the project and list other resources that may help fund the program. Send your completed application to Huntington Valley Arts, PO Box 91, Huntington, VT 05462. Be sure to include your contact information. Or, send your application as an email attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include "Grant Application" in the subject line.
